Understanding Value

Once upon a time in a small town in India a well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a 500 Rupee note.

To the 200 people listening to him he asked "Who would like to have this 500 Rupee note?"

Hands started to rise. Everyone wanted it.

He said, "I am going to give this note to one of you but first let me do this."

He then crumbled the note up. He then asked, "Who still wants it?"

Still all the hands were up in the air.

"Well", he replied. "What if I do this?" and he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it to the floor with his shoe. He picked up the note now all crumbled and filthy, and asked again "Who still wants this?

The hands remained in the air.

"My friends, you all have learned a valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because whatever I did to the 500 rupee note nothing happened to its  value. It was still worth ₹ 500/-.

Many times in our life we are dropped, crumbled and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and by the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what happens or what may happen you will never lose your value.

Never let anyone look down on you, you are worth more than anybody's opinion.

Never let anyone stand between you and your dreams. People will unfortunately always try to knock you down but keep fighting & keep dreaming.

Never let ANYONE tell you how you're supposed to look or how you're supposed to live your life. It's YOUR LIFE so think for yourself.

Know that you are special and never ever forget that.
